2nd Annual Kids Capoeira Encounter

 

 

17-19th April 2009 - Mataatua Marae Rotorua

Capoeira Mandinga Aotearoa is looking forward to hosting it's 2nd Annual Kids' Capoeira Camp in the Easter holidays of 2009.

CMA invites children and parents/guardians to the camp, which will be held at Mataatua Marae in Rotorua.

This event is open to all children, and offers a unique chance to begin/develop their capoeira skills with a Brazilian Master of the art and mentor of our group, along with our own Mestre Brabo and adult students from our group.  It’s also a great chance to experience NZ Maori culture by staying all together in a marae!
 
Basic Program:
Friday: Arrive, meet each other, welcome roda

Saturday: Movement and music workshops during the day, roda in the evening

Sunday: Outdoor roda, and Picnic Lunch to finish off.

Price Details: 

Prices include meals and accommodation at Mataatua Marae.

Price is per family to make it more accessible for families with more than one child wanting to attend.  Koha/donation from parents/guardians towards food is welcomed but not expected!

 

Please note that this event is absolutely for both children who are complete beginners (have never done any capoeira) and those who have been attending kids classes.

Payments can start immediately.

 

Please Note: Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE and we apologise for any inconvenience.

 

NB: It is important to keep details of your deposit. We will be making a printout of all deposits for the Encounter. If a deposit doesn’t show up on the printout the burden of proof is with the depositor, not us.
